The first home in the initiative is built by Bank of America
Trinity Habitat for Humanity recently hosted a dedication event for its first home constructed as part of the Opal Lee 100 Legacy Home Initiative, funded by Bank of America. This initiative represents a long-term commitment to honoring Opal Lee’s legacy by expanding homeownership opportunities for essential workforce families—aiming to build 100 homes that support strong families and strong neighborhoods.

“Trinity Habitat for Humanity’s Opal Lee 100 Legacy Home Initiative is doing inspiring work to provide housing and hope for hardworking families across Fort Worth. Bank of America is honored to support this build, which is another demonstration of our commitment to stable housing and strengthening communities,” said Mike Pavell, president, Bank of America Fort Worth. “With Trinity Habitat leading the charge, we have been hard at work to make this home a reality and it is so rewarding now to welcome a family through its doors.”

“How fortunate are we to have a world-renowned civil rights leader like Dr. Opal Lee championing the need for more attainable homeownership right here in Fort Worth?” said Christine Panagopoulos, Chief Operating Officer at Trinity Habitat. “Through our partnership with Bank of America, we’re proud to honor her legacy by building this home for the Ingram Family. This is transformational change—another family will experience lasting impact because our Fort Worth community came together to make it happen.”
