Quorum Architects announces the hiring of Architectural Intern Adrianna Jordan

Quorum Architects, a local commercial architecture and interior design firm, announces the hiring of Architectural Intern, Adrianna Jordan. As a member of Quorum’s animal care design team, she provides design and technical assistance.

Jordan interned with two Dallas design firms while still in school, allowing her to gain valuable commercial design experience before completing the Master of Architecture program at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge this spring.

Originally from the Houston area, Jordan likes that Fort Worth has all the amenities of a large city with a small town feel. Quorum’s friendly, close-knit community and diverse portfolio also appealed to her when choosing a place to live and work.

“My previous project experience was with small firms that designed luxury car dealerships and
K-12 schools,” said Jordan. “I’m really enjoying working on animal shelter and adoption center
projects for clients across Texas.”
Growing up in Cypress, a suburb of Houston, Jordan credits her mother with inspiring her early
interest in architecture and love of art. Together, they would spend weekends touring homes just
for fun.
“Adrianna brings fresh ideas and creativity to the team and is already proving herself to be a valuable asset by providing impeccable production support,” said Principal and Director of Animal Care Design, Kim Dowdy-Hickman.

Jordan worked in a pet boarding facility in Houston during summers and holidays, so she’s familiar with some of the challenges that clients face when developing a new animal care facility. Additionally, her sister is studying to become a veterinarian.

“Our family would be incomplete without pets, so the fact that I’m helping to create healthy environments for animals and the people who care for them is perfectly aligned with my values,” Jordan said.

Weekends and evening activities usually revolve around Jordan’s two dogs, Raina and Baxter. Raina, a lab mix, loves walks and the dog park. Baxter, a Pomeranian, is so well behaved and small, he goes almost everywhere with Jordan.
