ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Police have arrested a second suspect in the slaying of a Dallas-area woman seeking to sell some of her jewelry to raise money for Christmas presents for her 6-year-old daughter.

Arlington police say Alex Menor Diaz was arrested Friday in Keller on a capital murder charge in the December death of April Vancleave. Online jail records didn’t list attorney information for the suspect. Bond was $1 million.

Police say Vancleave arranged to meet two potential buyers in a store but they never showed up. Vancleave left and was attacked in the parking lot of her Arlington apartment complex. Investigators believe the potential buyers followed her and shot Vancleave during a robbery attempt.

Another suspect, Mario Hernan Lopez Gamez, was arrested in February and remains jailed on a capital murder charge.
