2 people injured after being stabbed at North Texas Wal-Mart

PRINCETON, Texas (AP) — Officials say a Wal-Mart employee is in custody after stabbing two people in a North Texas store.

Princeton police Chief James Waters says that the incident happened Wednesday afternoon. He says the two people stabbed were taken by helicopter to a hospital and are both in stable condition.

He says the suspect fled but was apprehended nearby. He says the suspect was being treated for what are believed to be self-inflicted injuries to his hand.

Waters says they’ll be interviewing the suspect to try to determine a motive.
