Former U.S. Ambassador Ron Kirk, named one of “The 50 Most Influential Minority Lawyers in America” by The National Law Journal, will bring the keynote address at the 41st Annual Dr. George D. Flemmings Freedom Fund Banquet.
Kirk is the former United States Trade Representative and served as a member of President Obama’s Cabinet.
He served two terms as the first African-American mayor of Dallas and before that served Texas Secretary of State under Gov. Ann Richards.
The event is presented by the Fort Worth Tarrant County Branch National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and will be held Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, in the Crystal Ballroom of the Hilton Hotel, Downtown Fort Worth at 6:45 p.m.
