Arlington police believe man killed daughter’s boyfriend, self

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Police in North Texas say a man sought after his daughter’s boyfriend was fatally shot has been found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Arlington police say the daughter was being treated Saturday after being run over by her father’s vehicle while trying to help her boyfriend. Her wounds are not life-threatening.

Police are trying to determine why the father apparently followed the couple, fatally shot the boyfriend and ran over his daughter.

Lt. Christopher Cook says officers Friday night responded to a shooting in a business parking lot. Police arrived to find the boyfriend dead and his girlfriend with injuries consistent with being run over.
