Army Corps of Engineers hosting small business forum

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is hosting a women owned small business and HUB zone networking forum on Thursday, March 23 to provide networking opportunities and provide updates and information on businesses who regularly do work with the Corps.

The forum is free and planned for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fritz G. Lanham Federal Building, located at 819 Taylor Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102 – Room 4A14H. Paid parking is available nearby.

Key focus areas for the forum include:

*Overview of Federal agencies and large businesses opportunities

*Overview and update on the Fort Worth District Small Business Program

*Demonstrations of how the Women Owned Small Business repository and website works

*Educating and improving the small business procurement processes

*Sharing information and providing updates on current and upcoming Fort Worth District projects & procurements

Hudson II, commander, Fort Worth District. “We recognize that small businesses owned by women are at the forefront of that growth and our goal is to help ensure that a fair proportion of contracts and or subcontracts with the Corps are placed with those entrepreneurs,”
