Beach appointed to District Court 1

 

Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Elizabeth Beach of Fort Worth as judge of the Tarrant County Criminal District Court No. 1 for a term to expire at the next general election. Beach replaces Sharen Wilson who resigned to run for Tarrant County district attorney.

Beach is a felony prosecutor for the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office and an adjunct professor of criminal justice at Texas Christian University. She is former chief felony prosecutor for the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office and a former assistant city attorney for the City of Dallas. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas District and County Attorneys Association, and Tarrant County Bar Association. She is also a speaker for the Texas District and County Attorneys Association Capital Murder Seminar and a volunteer Bible teacher at McKinney Memorial Bible Church.

Beach received a bachelor’s degree and law degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
