California-based Pegasus Foods to build $10M unit in Texas

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — California-based Pegasus Foods Inc. plans to invest $10 million to build a manufacturing facility near Dallas.

The 80,000-square-foot unit will be constructed in Rockwall. Pegasus officials joined Texas Gov. Greg Abbott in Austin for Monday’s announcement.

The complex will expand the company’s food production capacity. The Pegasus project is expected to create at least 325 jobs.

The Los Angeles-based company provides frozen foods to grocery stores and restaurant chains.
