Christie will travel to Texas to root for Cowboys

🕐 1 min read

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The flack New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie faced last Sunday night apparently wasn’t enough.

Christie called into a Philadelphia sports radio station Thursday to again defend his Dallas Cowboys fandom. He says he’s planning to travel to Dallas for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Christie told Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show team that he’ll be sitting in Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’s box again.

Christie received an onslaught of social media criticism last weekend when he was spotted with Jones rooting for the team during a game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Cataldi likened the move to watching video of a cousin robbing a Wawa.

But Christie says he’s been a Cowboys fan since he was a kid and isn’t apologizing for his allegiances.

He says he doesn’t care how it played.
