Council Report: Pay raises for some in city

🕐 1 min read

PAY RAISES

The city council, at Tuesday’s meeting, approved a 4% pay raise for City Manager David Cooke and City Attorney Sarah Fullenwider.

Also, City Secretary Mary Kayser received a 2% raise and City Auditor Patrice Randle was given a 6% raise.

The raises become effective immediately.

“After conducting reviews for council’s four appointees, it was concluded that all four appointees earned merit-based pay increases based on a variety of factors, including performance,” Mayor Betsy Price said. “Council also took into consideration that none of the appointed officials, including the city manager and city attorney, received pay increases since the end of 2017, despite the fact that the rest of the city’s workforce received increases in November 2018.”
