DENTON, Texas (AP) — A 40-year-old North Texas man is charged with two counts of capital murder after authorities found the bodies of his parents at their home in Denton.
Police spokesman Orlando Hinojosa said Monday that 75-year-old Marion Scott and his 70-year-old wife, Linda, were both stabbed to death.
Denton police were called to the house Sunday afternoon after receiving a call from their son, Stephen, that his parents were dead.
Hinojosa says authorities have recovered a weapon believed used in the stabbings.
Stephen Scott was charged Sunday night with the deaths. The case remains under investigation.
