Donald Trump Jr. coming to Texas to raise money for father

🕐 1 min read

Donald Trump Jr., the son of the Republican presidential nominee, is coming to Texas to raise money for his dad following the GOP national convention.

Donald Trump Jr. will attend fundraisers for his father Monday in Dallas and Houston, according to invitations obtained by The Texas Tribune. The Houston event is being hosted by Ollabelle and Gary Hall.

Those attending the Houston fundraiser are being asked to give or raise $2,700 to $25,000. The range for the Dallas event is $1,000 to $25,000.

Prospective donors to the Dallas fundraiser are being told it “will be a unique opportunity to hear from Donald J. Trump’s eldest son in a private setting on how we can rebuild our nation’s trust in government.”

The elder Trump is expected to return to Texas in September, according to one of his top fundraisers in the state, Ray Washburne. Trump raised nearly $8 million during his last swing through the state, which was in June.

The fundraiser Monday in Houston was first reported by The Associated Press.
