Early voting begins Tuesday for Texas primaries

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Texans can begin casting ballots today for the Texas Democratic and Republican primaries.

Secretary of State Nandita Berry says voters can cast early ballots in the March 4 primaries through Feb. 28. The deadline to request a ballot by mail is Friday.

Photo identification is required to cast a ballot in person.

The general election will be held Nov. 4.
