Early voting in Texas runs through Friday for March primary

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Time is running out for Texas voters to cast their ballots early before next week’s primary election.

Early voting runs through Friday. The primary election is Tuesday, March 1.

Secretary of State Carlos Casco says early voting began Feb. 16.

Texans can cast ballots at any early voting location in the county where they are registered. Voters must present one of seven acceptable forms of photo identification, with some examples being a Texas driver’s license, a U.S. military ID or an American passport.

The general election is Nov. 8.
