Flores wins District 1 seat on Fort Worth City Council; other area results

Several area runoffs were decided Saturday in voting in Tarrant County.

In Fort Worth, Carlos E. Flores took 52 percent of the vote in a runoff for the District 1 seat on the Fort Worth City Council. His opponent, Steve Thornton, had 48 percent of the vote.

In Arlington, the race for the District 3 City Council seat went to Roxanne Thalman, who had 50.1 percent of the vote, just more than Marvin Sutton. The vote was so close there will likely be a recount. 

Lana Wolff was elected to District 5 City Council seat with 54 percent of the vote while challenger Dakota Loupe had 46 percent.

In the  the Keller mayoral race, Pat McGrail received 50.1 percent, while Rick Barnes received 49 percent.

In the Mansfield Independent School District race for Place 6, Darrell Sneed received 70 percent of the vote vs. Jessica Camacho’s 30 percent.
