Former Irving city manager, Fort Worth resident in negotiations for El Paso job

In other city manager news…. The city of El Paso is entering negotiations with Fort Worth resident Tommy Gonzalez, currently the general manager of North Texas division and vice president of the Sterling Construction Co. in Fort Worth.

Fernando Costa, assistant city manager for Fort Worth, was one of the finalists for the job.

Gonzalez had previously served as the city manager for the city of Irving from 2006 to 2013, as well as an assistant city manager for the city of Dallas from 2005 to 2006 and as the city manager for the city of Harlingen from 2004 to 2005.
