Forney High School soccer players arrested on sex assault charges

FORNEY, Texas (AP) — Authorities east of Dallas have arrested three high school soccer players on charges of sexual assault and are investigating claims of assaults that date back several years.

Kaufman County sheriff’s spokeswoman Jolie Stewart says two Forney High School players, both juveniles, were arrested Thursday at the school. Another player was arrested off-campus and is charged as an adult.

Stewart says deputies are still seeking two other players, both juveniles.

Sheriff’s officials said in a statement that the arrests are based on claims of “hazing by members of the boys’ soccer team.”
