Christy Jack

Fort Worth native and nationally recognized trial attorney Christy Jack has been chosen as the recipient of the Daniel H. Benson Public Service Award.

Each year the award is given to a Texas Tech alumnus who has shown notable efforts in promoting the ideals of public service in the law.

Jack currently serves as chair of the Criminal Justice Section of the State Bar of Texas, which promotes excellence, education and ethics in the practice of criminal law.

She was recently featured on an episode of CBS’ 48 Hours about an infamous Fort Worth murder case.

Jack will be presented with the award on June 22 at the Texas Tech Law School Alumni reception, which will be held at the Dallas Hilton Anatole. The award is named in honor of Daniel H. Benson, a seasoned Texas Tech law professor, who passed away in 2011.
