Fort Worth honors Hughes, Texas Wesleyan and TCU for basketball

Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price applauded the astounding high school basketball success of retired Fort Worth Dunbar coach Robert Hughes during a pep rally on Thursday evening at Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth. Hughes is the all-time winningist boys school basketball coach with 1,333 victories in 47 seasons at Fort Worth Dunbar and Fort Worth I.M. Terrell. He also won five state championships. Hughes recently was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Mayor Price also applauded the success of the TCU men's basketball team, which recently clinched the National Invitation Tournament title. The Mayor also honored the Texas Wesleyan men's basketball team, which recently clinched the NAIA Division I title.
