Fort Worth Independent School District Board of Directors, in a specially called meeting on Tuesday night, voted to censure a trustee following a complaint by a parent.
Trustee Ashley Paz was censured following a complaint by a parent at Daggett Montessori School who thought Paz had become too involved in a campus dispute about leadership at the school.
The vote was 5-3 in favor of censuring Paz, following a motion by Trustee Ann Sutherland. The vote followed presentations by Paz’s representative, attorney Lynn Rossi Scott, and Heather leaf, the parent who made the complaint.
Some on the board questioned how the grievance was handled, with Trustee Christene Moss calling the vote a “personal vendetta.”
