Fort Worth officer facing sexual assault charge involving teen

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — A North Texas police officer has been arrested after being accused by authorities of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy.

Fort Worth Police Officer David Brintnell is free on a $50,000 bond after his arrest last week by Arlington police.

Lt. Chris Cook, an Arlington police spokesman, says Brintnell faces a charge of sexual assault of a child under the age of 17, a second-degree felony.

Investigators allege the 43-year-old Brintnell had sex with the teenager after meeting him through a Craigslist ad.
