The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo will host about 1.2 million visitors this year, its fourth consecutive year of more than a million, Stock Show benefactor Ed Bass told the Fort Worth City Council Tuesday in an annual report.
That includes 400,000 individuals, he said, who will spend $56 million while at the show, in tickets, souvenirs, food, beverage, and other expenditures.
About 80 percent of Stock Show visitors are from outside Fort Worth, he said.

The Stock Show expenditures will generate $1 million in tax revenue to Fort Worth, and $3.5 million to Texas, Bass said. The show will run Jan. 16-Feb. 7.
