Fort Worth’s Costa, Gonzalez finalists for El Paso city manager position

In other city manager news…. While Fort Worth will announce its three candidates for city manager on Monday, the city of El Paso has announced its list of city manager candidates and two Fort Worth residents are on the list. One is Fernando Costa, assistant city manager for Fort Worth. The other Fort Worth resident is Tommy Gonzalez, currently the general manager of North Texas division and vice president for the Sterling Construction Company Inc. in Fort Worth.

He had previously served as the city manager for the city of Irving from 2006 to 2013, as well as an assistant city manager for the city of Dallas from 2005 to 2006 and as the city manager for the city of Harlingen from 2004 to 2005.

The other two candidates for the position are already employed by the city of El Paso.  El Paso officials did not say when they will make a decision on a city manager, but they will hold a meet and greet reception for the candidates on May 7.
