Fred Tate Announces Campaign for Texas House District 98

Three-time Abbott Appointee, Small Businessman, and Trusted Grassroots Champion Will Fight for Our Conservative Values

COLLEYVILLE, TX – Fred Tate, a lifelong Republican, successful small businessman, and trusted conservative grassroots leader, today announced his campaign for the Texas House of Representatives in District 98.

Tate, a three-time Senate-confirmed appointee of Governor Greg Abbott, has a proven record of delivering conservative results for Texas taxpayers and families. He has held corrupt liberal judges accountable, protected private property rights, and overseen major water infrastructure projects critical to North Tarrant and South Denton Counties.

“I am running for Texas House District 98 because we deserve a trusted Republican leader in Austin who will fight for Texas taxpayers, not against them. I will never back down to the radical left’s assault on our family values and the pocketbooks of hardworking Texans,” said Tate. “Guided by my unwavering conservative principles, business expertise, and proven record of service, I will fight to uphold our constitutional freedoms, deliver permanent property tax relief, defend biological truth, cut wasteful spending, secure our borders, protect innocent life, and keep Texas strong.”

Fred’s conservative roots run long and deep. At Baylor, he helped elect George W. Bush Governor of Texas and served as State Chairman of Young Conservatives of Texas. He has been a precinct chair, election judge, and Treasurer of the Republican Party of Texas and the Tarrant County GOP, helping set the stage for the GOP’s 2024 victories. Fred is a strong supporter of President Trump and is fighting for his America First policies.

Tate is the founder of CFO Shield, which serves more than 100 small businesses with growth-focused financial strategies that create good-paying jobs, and Red Elephant Reports, which provides compliance and financial support to conservative campaigns nationwide. Before starting his businesses, Tate spent nearly 20 years in corporate America, managing multimillion-dollar budgets and driving double-digit growth.

Fred and his wife, Jill—the slated President of the Texas Federation of Republican Women—have been married for 21 years and live in Colleyville with their son Sawyer. They attend White’s Chapel Church and are active with local charities and organizations such as Patriot PAWS Service Dogs, the Colleyville Lions Club, GRACE Grapevine, Ranch Hands Rescue, Bob’s House of Hope, and the Justice Center.
