Hulen traffic accident cuts power to area, results in DWI arrest

April 23 accident at 3600 block of Hulen Street

A traffic accident in the 3600 block of Hulen Street in Fort Worth at around noon on April 23 cut power to many homes and businesses in the highly-trafficked area.

“’One of the vehicles hit a light pole causing power to be lost in the area,” according to a spokesman for the Fort Worth Police. “One person was transported for DWI,” according to the police.

The vehicle, a Lexus SUV, was headed southbound on Hulen when it struck a utility pole, cutting power in the area and causing traffic to be re-routed because of the live power lines in the street.

By 6 p.m., Oncor was no longer showing any power outage in the area.
