Lake Worth reopens on Tuesday

Lake Worth is expected to reopen at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with Fort Worth city officials confident that water levels have stabilized to where boat wakes no longer will impact homes and other structures.

Boaters are asked to watch for floating debris from high lake levels and submerged hazards, such as boat docks and tree stumps.

Lakeside residents and visitors also should watch for wildlife, the city advised. Higher water levels could mean more snakes, fire ants, alligators, deer and other animals whose nesting and feeding spots may have been disturbed.
