Lockheed, TCC partner on job training

Lockheed Martin Corp. and Tarrant County College will provide job training for 1,200 new and incumbent workers using a $1.5 million Skills Development Fund grant from the Texas Workforce Commission.

The grant will benefit workers in the Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County and Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas areas.

The job training will focus on industry-related topics, including aircraft assembly, electrical engineering and computer-aided engineering processes. Trainees will include aeronautical engineers, avionics technicians, electrical engineers and systems administrators.

Upon completion of training, the workers will receive an average hourly wage of $47.58.
