FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) – A special education teacher in the Dallas-Fort Worth area already accused of sexually assaulting a child now faces child pornography charges.
According to a U.S. Attorney’s office news release, 62-year-old Kelly Dan Williams made his initial court appearance Monday on a complaint of child pornography production.
The complaint says Williams was observed on June 1 performing a sex act on an 11-year-old boy in a bathroom stall at the Mansfield Independent School District’s Mary Orr Intermediate School. Police searched William’s residence during an investigation and seized electronic storage devices, including a SD memory card.
Authorities say the SD card showed the suspect performing a sex act on a boy who appeared to be younger than 12.
Prosecutors say the video was created on or about Feb. 3, 2010.
It is not immediately clear if Williams has an attorney.
