Mississippi police arrest man wanted for Texas killing

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — State police in Mississippi have arrested a man on charges of killing a man in Texas earlier this month.

The Clarion Ledger reported that the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation arrested 24-year-old Adrian Terrell Rose in Jackson on Monday.

Rose is charged with capital murder in the Aug. 14 shooting death of Matthew Jacob Rodriguez Jr. in San Marcos, Texas.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation was working with Texas Rangers, the San Marcos Police Department, and U.S. Marshals in locating Rose.

Rose is being held in the Madison County jail awaiting extradition to Texas. It was not known if he has an attorney.

Two other suspects from Hattiesburg, are in custody in San Marcos. They are 27-year-old Jacob Portier and 26-year-old Jason Portier.
