COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Potential 2016 Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry is back in South Carolina this week.
The Texas governor is the speaker at a Dorchester County GOP fundraiser Tuesday night. South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is scheduled to introduce him.
Perry is also a featured guest Wednesday evening at a fundraiser for Congressman Mick Mulvaney in Indian Land.
Perry’s public stops in this early presidential primary state start with a tour Tuesday morning of the Medal of Honor Museum in Mount Pleasant. He will then tour Water Missions International, a North Charleston-based nonprofit that provides safe water to developing countries and disaster areas. On Wednesday, he will tour a medical laboratory in Rock Hill.
It is Perry’s third visit to South Carolina since last August, when he spoke at Haley’s re-election kickoff.
