Small companies encouraged to enter Business Plan Competition

Small businesses have until July 1 to enter the fifth annual Fort Worth Business Plan Competition.

Small businesses have until July 1 to enter the fifth annual Fort Worth Business Plan Competition, organized by the Fort Worth Business Assistance Center and sponsored by Capital One Bank and The Alternative Board.

The competition promises awards, cash prizes and business services valued at up to $50,000 and is open to businesses based or headquartered in Tarrant County and earning annual revenues up to $500,000. It also provides an opportunity for participants to gain training and coaching focusing on strengthening their business.

The competition encourages small businesses to develop a new or enhanced business plan that can improve their market competitiveness and increase their bottom line, according to a city news release. Businesses are not required to have a current business plan to apply.
