Study: Fort Worth sixth-fastest growing large city

Fort Worth is the sixth-fastest growing large city in America, according to WalletHub, a financial advice site.

To determine where the most rapid local economic growth occurred over a period of seven years, WalletHub compared 515 U.S. cities across 15 key metrics. The data set ranges from population growth to college-educated population growth to unemployment rate decrease. In addition, we produced a separate ranking by city size

Large cities that ranked above Fort Worth in growth are Austin (No. 1), Miami, Seattle, Charlotte and Denver. In Texas, San Antonio was No. 14 and Dallas was No. 17. Among mid-sized cities, McKinney was No. 3 and Frisco was No. 9.
