TCU to host Fort Worth mayoral forum tonight

With the fate of the 15th largest city hanging in the balance, Fort Worth mayoral candidates will look to one-up each other at a forum just days before the May 4 election.

Texas Christian University is hosting a mayoral forum at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 29.

All three mayoral candidates — incumbent Betsy Price, Deborah Peoples and James McBride — have confirmed their attendance and participation at the event.

The event is free and open to the public. The public can ask questions or direct any concern they might have to the candidates.

“TCU is committed to serving the Fort Worth community and hopes this event will encourage civic engagement throughout the community,” the university said in a statement. “Further, we will use this event as an opportunity to help our students understand the impact of local politics in Fort Worth and beyond.”

The moderators for the event are independent consultant Estrus Tucker and WFAA senior reporter Jason Whitely.

TCU’s Brown Lupton University Union, located at 2901 Stadium Drive, Fort Worth, will be the event venue.
