The Texas Bar Foundation has presented Alliance For Children with a donation of $12,000 to provide child abuse prevention training at no cost to Tarrant County, the nonprofit said in a news release.
The donation allows Alliance For Children to buy resources to educate adults on how to prevent, recognize and react to child sexual abuse within their youth and children serving organizations, communities and families. Alliance For Children has a goal of educating 70,000 Tarrant County adults and empowering them to protect children from abuse.
“We are amazed at the generosity of the Texas Bar Foundation and their like-mindedness to protect our county’s children. With their help, we are rebuilding lives and preserving futures,” Alliance For Children Executive Director Julie Evans said in the release.
Since its inception in 1965, the Texas Bar Foundation has awarded more than $17 million in grants to law-related programs. Supported by members of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar Foundation is the nation’s largest charitably funded bar foundation.
