Alzheimer’s Association to host Hispanic Caregiver Seminar

The North Central Texas Chapter of The Alzheimer’s Association is hosting its annual Hispanic Caregiver Seminar Saturday, Oct. 21.

The event will be conducted in Spanish from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Fort Worth’s Saint Andrew Catholic Parish.

This free seminar is sponsored by UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth. A lunch will be provided for attendees.

According to a news release, the event aims to help Spanish speaking caregivers recognize behaviors that accompany dementia-related conditions. The event will also discuss key reasons why emotional distress is common among both people living with dementia and their caregivers.

Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with community organizations that offer dementia-related resources.
