By A. Lee Graham Chop House Burgers in Arlington has launched Burgers 4 West, a fundraising campaign benefiting those affected by this week’s fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas. Conceived by Chop House Chef Kenny Mills and supported by Wheeler Advertising Inc. of Arlington, the campaign seeks any number of burger restaurants to help raise donations to benefit those affected by the Wednesday April 17 fertilizer plant explosion in the McLennan County town of West. Also pledging participation in the fundraiser is The Grease Monkey Burger Shop & Social Club of Arlington. The Burgers 4 West campaign seeks an unlimited number of burger restaurants to aid the cause. On Sunday April 28, participating restaurants are asked to donate proceeds from burger sales to the Salvation Army. Participants also are encouraged to use their social media channels using the hash tag #burgers4west to help promote awareness. The Chop House fundraiser is planned for Chop House Steak and Seafood Restaurant, a sister restaurant at 2230 W. Park Row Dr., Pantego. Live music will be featured set for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 28, with all burger sale proceeds benefiting victims of West. At The Grease Monkey, all proceeds from food sold between the same hours that day also will benefit West victims. The restaurant is located at 200 N.
