Baylor Scott & White Health on March 30 announced the rollout of five primary care clinics in Tom Thumb stores throughout North Texas, four of them in Tarrant County.
The first clinic, located in the Tom Thumb at 315 S. Hampton Road, opened this week in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, while four additional clinics will open during April and May.
The clinics are operated by the health care system’s affiliate, HealthTexas Provider Network (HTPN), a multi-specialty medical group that employs more than 1,300 providers practicing in the North Texas area.
“Through the new collaboration with Tom Thumb, we’re able to offer quality, affordable basic primary care treatment in convenient locations,” said F. David Winter, president and chairman. “Each clinic will be open seven days a week, making routine primary care services even more accessible.”
Baylor Scott & White Convenient Care Clinics will offer services including treating minor illnesses and injuries, chronic disease management, immunizations, physicals and health screenings. In addition, patients receiving care at the clinics will be connected to the greater network of primary care and specialty care physicians via Baylor Scott & White’s electronic health record system.
