COVID-19 cases top 50 in Tarrant County as additional measures expected

Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price will make an announcement Tuesday, March 24 at 9 a.m. in the City Council Chambers regarding the city’s response to COVID-19. In Price’s daily COVID-19 update, she hinted there would be additional measures taken to combat the spread of the disease. Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley and Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams are expected to be at the announcement as well.

The announcement will also be streamed on Mayor’s Facebook and on City Cable

Tarrant County has reported 57 cases of the COVID-19 virus, with 54 of those active, according to the latest update on the Tarrant County Public Health website at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 23. Two people have recovered, and one died. Fort Worth has most of those cases with 18, while Arlington is reporting 13.
