BENBROOK, Texas (AP) — Officials have recovered the body of a 17-year-old from a North Texas lake after the canoe he was in with two of his friends capsized.

Capt. Cliff Swofford of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department said the teen went missing Saturday evening after the boat capsized in Benbrook Lake. The teen’s body was recovered a few hours later.

A ruling on his death is pending an autopsy.

Swofford says two other boys also in the boat made it to shore.
