Mark Deno named CEO of Medical City North Hills

Mark Deno, FACHE, has been named CEO of Medical City North Hills, starting Aug. 5.

Deno has been part of HCA Healthcare, the parent company of Medical City Healthcare, since 2014.

Most recently, he served as COO of The Medical Center of Aurora, part of HealthONE in Denver. Under his leadership, the hospital added key services and elevated standards in stroke care, rehabilitation and surgical services, increasing the lifesaving surgical care the hospital was able to provide, Medical City Healthcare said in a news release.

“Mark has a proven record of leadership with a dedication to providing exceptional, quality healthcare,” said Erol Akdamar, FACHE, president of Medical City Healthcare. “We are delighted to welcome him back to North Texas to lead Medical City North Hills.”

Deno began his career in surgery centers in Colorado and Texas, including two years as CEO of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Arlington.

Medical City North Hills is a Primary Stroke Center with Cycle 5 chest pain accreditation and growing bariatric and joint replacement programs. The hospital has an “A” safety rating from the Leapfrog Group and Healthgrades.
