Medical City Plano and Frisco name new CEO

Medical City Healthcare has selected a new CEO to take charge of two Colin County hospitals.

Carlton Ulmer will be the CEO of Medical City Plano and Medical City Frisco, effective July 22.

Ulmer has been with HCA Healthcare, Medical City’s parent company, for 18 years. Ulmer currently serves as the CEO of West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Florida.

According to Medical City Healthcare, Ulmer is credited with improving patient experience, enhancing employee engagement, and leading service line and financial growth during his time in Florida.

Now in North Texas, Ulmer will head two hospitals, which has more than 2,000 employees, 1,400 physicians and 550 beds.

Medical City Frisco is also undergoing a $37 million expansion project that broke ground in late February.
