Methodist Mansfield opens Amon G. Carter Foundation Kids Zone

New kid-friendly rooms aim to ease ER trip stress

Nearly 60 community leaders joined Methodist Mansfield and CareFlite for the Sunday, June 24, ribbon cutting on the Emergency Department heliport of the new Amon G. Carter Foundation Kids Zone, a news release said.

According to the release, Methodist Mansfield treated more than 8,000 injured children last year.

Now, the new, 864-square-foot Kids Zone aims to help children stay entertained while being treated through its three brightly colored painted rooms equipped with interactive play stations and toys.
