New CEO at North Texas Area Community Health Centers

Gerrie Whitaker, M.Ed., has been selected as chief executive officer of North Texas Area Community Health Centers (NTACHC), effective Aug. 1.

NTACHC is a nonprofit corporation that has served a predominately, low-income, working poor, young, uninsured and underinsured population in the Northside and Southeast areas of Fort Worth and Arlington.

“We are very pleased that Ms. Whitaker is joining NTACHC as CEO to advance the excellent work already being done to serve our patients and the community, NTACHC Board President Erin Carlson, DrPH, said in a news release. “She brings years of experience establishing, leading and revitalizing health centers.”

Whitaker joins NTACHC from The Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County in Indianapolis, where over her tenure she served as both director of community planning and chief operating officer for the federally qualified health center, as well as director of adolescent health.
