No trauma signs found on 8 abandoned bodies in Fort Worth funeral home

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — A Texas medical examiner says there’s no sign of trauma or foul play on the eight decaying bodies discovered in a Fort Worth funeral home.

The Tarrant County medical examiner says all but one of the bodies found Tuesday show advanced stages of decomposition.

Authorities on Wednesday identified five of the eight bodies. A 48-year-old woman and two fetuses remain unidentified.

The bodies were found after the property owner told the Johnson Family Mortuary to vacate the building. The owner told police he found the decomposing bodies but no workers when he returned to the property.
