On April 25, 2020, the JDRF Greater Fort Worth chapter will recognize local Fort Worth residents Alan and Bonnie Petsche at the JDRF Promise Ball, taking place at Fort Worth Convention Center. As the Promise Ball’s Honorees, the Petsches are being acknowledged for their longstanding commitment to JDRF’s vision of a world without Type 1 Diabetes.
Bonnie and Alan Petsche helped co-found the chapter after their daughter, Kate, was diagnosed in 1994. From that moment on, the Petsche Family started the chapter’s first Gala in 1995 with the BBQ at the Ballpark. The award will be presented during the event by the Promise Ball Chair, Andrea Wilson.
According to Chris LaTurno, Executive Director, the black-tie event will include a cocktail reception; a multi-course dinner; silent and live auctions; JDRF’s signature Fund A Cure program, during which contributions may be made directly to research; and entertainment. Karen Borta will serve as the event’s master of ceremonies.
