Novartis AG is considering the sale of its contact lens care products, part of its Fort Worth-based Alcon group, according to a Bloomberg news report.
The Bloomberg story reported that the Swiss drugmaker is looking to improve growth at Alcon and that the lens-care business may draw interest from several competitors, citing unidentified individuals involved in the proposed sale.
The report says a sale could bring in as much as $1.6 billion, according to an analyst.
