Tarrant County reports 2 COVID-19 deaths on Saturday

Tarrant County Public Health (TCPH) today reported two COVID-19 deaths.

The deceased include a man in his 50s from Keller and a man in his 60s from Fort Worth. Both had underlying health conditions. Tarrant County now has 71 confirmed deaths from the COVID-19 virus. 583 people have recovered.

“Our condolences go out to the families,” said Tarrant County Health Director Vinny Taneja. Although stay-at-home requirements have been allowed to expire, he encouraged residents to continue to stay home as much as possible and follow the Public Health guidelines,

The country reported 115 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday

Denton County Public Health (DCPH) on Saturday announced 13 new laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Denton County.  This increases the cumulative, countywide total to 799 confirmed COVID-19 cases.  DCPH is also announcing 2 newly recovered COVID-19 cases within the county.

The laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 Denton State Supported Living Center (DSSLC) resident total remains 54.  The cumulative, countywide long-term care facility (LTCF) resident total remains 19.  Staff who test positive for COVID-19 from DSSLC and over 100 LTCFs in Denton County are included within the totals for the town, city, unincorporated area, and/or county in which the staff person resides.
