Tarrant County reports 3 more COVID-19 deaths, 69 new cases

Tarrant County Public Health (TCPH) on Wednesday, April 29 reported three COVID-19 deaths.

The deceased include a woman in her 90s and a woman in her 30s, both from Fort Worth, and a woman in her 70s from Grapevine. All had underlying health conditions. Tarrant County now has 61 confirmed deaths from the COVID-19 virus. 387 people have recovered.

“These deaths are grim reminders of the seriousness of this pandemic,” said Tarrant County Public Health Director Vinny Taneja. “Our sympathy goes out to their families.”

The county reported 69 new cases of COVID-19.

Denton County Public Health (DCPH) has announced 10 new laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Denton County.  This increases the cumulative, countywide total to 748 confirmed COVID-19 cases.  DCPH is also announcing 5 newly recovered COVID-19 cases within the county.

The laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 Denton State Supported Living Center (DSSLC) resident total remains 54.  The cumulative, countywide long-term care facility (LTCF) resident total remains 19.  Staff who test positive for COVID-19 from DSSLC and over 100 LTCFs in Denton County are included within the totals for the town, city, unincorporated area, and/or county in which the staff person resides.
