Texas Water Development Board approves $200,000 to the Lake Texoma VFW Post 7873 for water system improvements

AUSTIN – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) Jan. 22 approved $200,000 in loan forgiveness from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund to the Lake Texoma VFW Post 7873 in Grayson County. The VFW will use the assistance to finance planning, design and construction costs associated with water system improvements.

With the assistance, the VFW will interconnect its water system to the neighboring Ridgecrest water system. In addition, it will install meters and enhance the distribution line sizes to accommodate the interconnection.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources.
